In my research of pop music magazines, I decided to analyse one magazine, but two different issues of the same magazine. The magazine was called ‘Billboard’ magazine. I noticed that regardless whether the issue had changed the masthead remained the same. For example in both issues they both include a blue and a yellow highlight in the letters ‘a’ and‘d’. I felt that this was effective because it allows readers to recognise the magazine anywhere. Secondly they both feature famous pop singers in front of the magazine; I feel that they have included famous pop singers in the front cover because it attracts fans of the artists. The artists names are written very boldly to stand out from the whole magazine, which also allows fans to recognise the artists and the genre of the magazine. title of the magazine are both covered by the model, states that the magazine is quite an established company, as they do not mind the main focus not being on the model.
