Analysing my audience feedback

I constructed a questionnaire which contained 5 questions. The aim of my questionnaire was to gain an insight on what my audience thought of my music magazine; although when I was creating my music magazine, I constantly asked for audience feedback verbally .
Evidently from my audience feedback when I asked:                                                      What do you find most attractive about my music magazine?
I received a variety of answers. On my front cover my audience thought that my picture was very attractive. This is beneficial for persuading my target audience to buy my music magazine. So therefore this means I have captured an eye catching image.                                                                                                                                              Another convention from my audience feedback that was said to be attractive on my front cover was the Masthead which was 'BOSS'. (this is the name of my magazine) The name of my magazine was what the majority voted for when I addressed my audience in my audience research. This has proved to me that paying attention to what a set target audience desires, is very essential because they will only be attracted to something that they are attracted to.

On my contents page and double page spread, my target audience though that my layout and writing was very attractive. I believe my layout was sucessful because I pre planned how I wanted my contents page to look. I believe that planning is very essential when creating magazines because at least I had a rough idea of what I expected my magazine to appear like, also it allowed me to feel more confident when I was creating my magazine , because I was aware of what I expected from my outcome. Lastly my secondary research of analysing a range of music magazines gave me ideas which I made into my own; this made my own magazine unique.
My feedback stated that my target audience liked the'B' in the background; I replicated this convention from the famous Hip hop magazine VIBE magazine; VIBE magazine was very influential towards my music magazine, it presented versatility in every issue and I was exceedingly attracted to their magazine and because I am of the age of my target audience I felt that some things I may be attracted to may be what others are also attracted to.

I asked my target what genre they believed my magazine was; three out of five said they thought it was Hop hop. In addition all five said that they thought it was R&B. This is good because the fact that my target audience understood the genre suggest that I have represented my chosen genre well. On the other hand none of them considered that my music magazine included some pop conventions. In future I will assure that I select a genre which I am capable of representing.

I asked what my target audience would change about my front cover. II received a variety of answers such as 'more writing' 'changing the pink to gold' and the 'microphone in the masthead'
For my contents page my target audience said 'better layout' 'text clashing' and more images'
For my double page spread my target audience said 'less info' 'better writing' and 'writing'
I have taken their constructive criticisms into considerations and next time I will ensure that these conventions will be included or removed, depending on what they'll like to see in future magazines.

Lastly I asked my target audience what age range did they believe my music magazine was aimed at. Calculating all the results the age range my target audience believed my music magazine was aimed at ages 11-28years old. Although I intended to reach for the age 13-34, I do believe that they were close enough, so in a way I do believe that my target audience have a rough idea about who my music magazine is aimed at
